Welcome to CDFF! We support filmmakers from around the world!

We are an IMDb qualifying festival. We began at the world famous Redwood Cafe in Cotati, CA and then moved to Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles. This year, our home is the 4 Star Theater in San Francisco in the heart of the multi-cultural Richmond District. Join us at the festival!

Our purpose is to help create a community of positive voices, and we host local mixers and informational events in addition to our screenings. We support the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to help sustain our humanity and our world.

We believe that when we experience art from a variety of cultures, we can increase our understanding of our shared humanity, and this understanding is a pathway to global peace and harmony.

All styles are welcome! We accept narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, music videos, new media and photography.

The 4 Star Theater in San Francisco was built in 1912. Located in the Richmond District between Golden Gate Park and the Presidio of San Francisco, it lies in the heart of a vibrant community that offers restaurants, shops, coffee houses, and more! San Francisco's excellent mass transit to takes you to Fisherman's Wharf, Telegraph Hill, the Marina District, and The Embarcadero on the peninsula. Lots to see and do! Join us for CDFF 2026!
